Director of Mercy Ministries: Cindy Lewis

The Old Testament prophet, Micah, asked the question, “What does the Lord require of you?” He answered his own question with these words; “To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”  Loving mercy is the result of loving God and the raison d’etre for our church’s ministry in helping in three local schools, participating in the Relay for Life, the Care Fest, and Feed My Lambs, a ministry of providing food for homeless families with children each summer.

Now coordinating our Ministry of Mercy is Cindy Lewis. Cindy is a member of AncientCity Baptist and is faithful in her attendance at worship, Adult Bible Fellowship and Wednesday night Bible Study and Prayer. She has been active in Good News Clubs and VBS. Cindy is an alumnus of Florida State University and also holds a Master’s degree in education from Pensacola Christian College. She has experience in mission work in Canada where she worked for a number of years among North American Indians. She also spent 21 years in Christian School teaching in the US, including 5 years in Hawaii.

Cindy is excited about being given this challenge and said, “The members of this church have a heart for God with a willingness to be used of Him. In the short time I’ve been here, I have seen God do some amazing things. I am eager to see what great things God is going to do in the future through our church family. I’m blessed to be a part of this ministry and look forward to serving with them!”
