Young Life is an international non-denominational organization founded in 1939 that now has hundreds of thousands of teens meeting weekly on the middle school, high school and college level. They operate summer camps in every region of the United States and many locations overseas.

Ancient City Baptist Church hosts Young Life of St. Augustine High School on Monday nights at 7:30. Young Life leaders composed of college students and adults offer an exciting and challenging program that answers the needs of this particular age group.

On Tuesday night, Middle School students are involved in Young Life at the church.  The Monday and Tuesday night programs are outreach oriented.

Our goal is to EVANGELIZE for Jesus Christ. We first embrace and show the love of God to all students where they are, and then share with them the Good News. As students grow in their walk, we help equip them to accept the challenge to live out His call for their lives. We aim to disciple and create disciple-makers.

We PRAY for our friends, families, schools, businesses, churches, and community as a whole. In small groups, we teach spiritual disciplines such as: daily quiet time with the Lord, power of prayer, scripture memorization, analytical studying of the Bible, and learning to hear and discern God’s voice.

We constantly INVITE others to experience what God is doing through the lives of our youth and their leaders. Our ministry is relational and intentional. We meet students wherever they are and provide relational environments and Christ-centered programs that are specific to their needs. We place a large importance on outreach youth ministry and have a specific desire to reach youth of ALL backgrounds. We aim to send out students to spread hope and life through Jesus Christ in the city of St Augustine and beyond!

Lastly, we seek ways to CONNECT on three levels: first, by connecting students to others around them; second, by connecting the applicable truth of God’s Word to our lives; and third, in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage students to express their faith through their own words and actions, prioritizing their relationship with Christ as they are consumed with a desire to glorify God in all that they do.
